CGI was founded by Gidi Cohen and Adrian Goldstein with a vision to create a collective of free-thinkers and innovators that deliver boutique-living solutions that are beautiful, function and inspire the people that live in them and enrich the communities they serve.

Gidi Cohen is the man with a dream; he is the vision guy whose focus, inspiration and hard work have co-created CGI Strategies. He brings more than 25 years of commercial and residential real estate experience, including acquisitions upwards of $1 billion USD, syndication, development and dispositions across a variety of asset classes. Gidi’s ability to get the tough deals done is only surpassed by his unique vision for turning distressed assets into prominent lifestyle communities that generate altitudinous investor returns.

Before partnering with Adrian Goldstein to form CGI Strategies in 2013, Gidi was the founder and President of Cohen & Associates, LLC, a boutique real estate investment and management firm. Under Gidi’s direction, Cohen & Associates, LLC became known as “the guys who get the deal done.” He set a reliable track record by purchasing immovable, distressed assets in the post-recession market, valued over a quarter of a million USD taking CGI to today’s total asset value of $900 million USD. His seamless execution of stabilizing, renovating and developing these properties yielded in livable homes and jobs for hundreds of thousands of people. His beginning was in construction. After a couple years working for SOS Enterprises, an LA-based construction company, he negotiated to buy the company and took over as President. When he acquired it in the 90’s, SOS Enterprises was a struggling company with sporadic successful bids and in the years to follow Gidi built it into an upscale construction and development firm, generating more than $15 million in annual revenues.

At the heart of Gidi’s work ethic is his genuine love for humanity. This passion is what drives him to create sought-after communities and motivates him to give back. Gidi has an active voice in several philanthropic, civic and professional organizations. He is a Board of Director for several organizations.

Born in Israel, Gidi served for four and a half years in the Israeli Navy Seals. He currently lives in Ojai, CA with his wife Noga and their four children.

Adrian Goldstein is one of the forces behind CGI Strategies. He harnesses our company’s vision and oversees its growth with detailed strategic forethought and planning, he has helped CGI acheive a total asset value of $900 million USD.  His experience includes 35 years in commercial real estate, specifically institutional finance and operations.  His unique experience allows him to understand the perspective of the institutional lender and he is adept at structuring deals to leverage outstanding returns for institutions, funds and private individuals who invest in our projects.

Prior to 2013 when Adrian and Gidi Cohen partnered to form CGI Strategies, Adrian was a managing partner at Gelt, Inc, a private real estate investment company.  There he designed and implemented a business plan to acquire multi-family properties resulting in the acquisition and management of approximately 1,500 units in less than 3 years, valued at approximately $130,000,000 USD.

Adrian has enjoyed many successes in his career.  In the 90’s, he was a founding member of the Greenwich Group International, LLC, an investment advisory/banking firm, specializing in debt and equity financings, investments and institutional lending for real estate transactions. He quickly earned a reputation as a reliably effective deal-closer after his completion of the $225,000,000 USD recapitalization of an office building portfolio and a hotel in San Diego for Southwest Realty Partners with iStar Capital.

Adrian left Greenwich to assist in the operation and liquidation of his family’s real estate developments at Weston Communities.  There he managed the disposition of assets valued at $200,000,000 USD, including an apartment portfolio of 500 rental units that were sold to Archstone Smith, a public REIT for $125,000,000 USD. The start of Adrian’s career takes us back to 1982 with Cushman & Wakefield, a leading international commercial brokerage firm. In the late 80’s he co-founded a new investment group at Cushman & Wakefield specializing in institutional finance and sales.

Adrian and his wife Deborah are bi-coastal living in Calabasas, CA and Lawrence, NY. They have raised five children who are now adults living successful lives with careers in accounting, law, banking and health care.

Dawn Michelle Wilson is CGI’s award-winning brand and marketing genius. She has more than 20 years of experience running organizations as a senior executive and offers a unique melting pot of valuable experience. She is seasoned and accomplished in management, business development, strategic marketing and communications campaigns, as well as branding and social marketing. She excels in public policy, public relations and advertising for corporate/Fortune 500, philanthropic and government entities.

Before joining the CGI team, Dawn was Managing Director for Hershey Cause, an integrated marketing and communications firm specializing in both for-profit and nonprofit consulting. Before that she was Vice President of Marketing for Clark Consulting, a publicly traded executive compensation and benefits consulting firm. She was promoted to VP after handling new business proposals and presentations that generated more than $10M USD in revenue.

Dawn is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association. Her work has received honors from PRNews, Public Relations Society of America Los Angeles, The Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards, American Graphic Design Award and HPRMA of Southern California’s Golden Advocate Award.

Philanthropy is very important to Dawn and she professionally and personally supports great causes such as Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Make-A-Wish, LA River Revitalization Corporation, California Science Center and Glendale Community College Foundation.

Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with double minors in Political Science and Business from Southern Nazarene University.

Fred Silva brings an impressive resume in construction management to the CGI team.  With more than 35 years of experience in the residential construction industry, Fred is CGI’s seasoned and accomplished Construction Manager.

He has mastered the craft of project development including conceptual planning, design development, negotiation, contract writing, forward planning, permit processing, purchasing and both onsite and offsite supervision.  He has completed projects for large volume builders, mid-size builders, investors and individual clients.

Mark is CGI’s managing partner in the Southeast region. He is responsible for overseeing the region’s operations and sourcing new investment opportunities. Mark has been with CGI since the beginning in 2013 and was Director of Acquisitions for Cohen & Associates, LLC under Gidi Cohen since its formation in 2008. Through his education and work experience, he brings an unmatched ability to locate and analyze real estate markets and the investment opportunities within them.

Before that, Mark was Vice President for Alliance Bank’s Real Estate Industries division. Here he developed his strong skill for sourcing, underwriting and managing construction and commercial real estate loans.

Mark’s career in real estate began over 20 years ago at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where he managed a nationwide construction loan portfolio of investment properties valued over $1 billion USD. His impeccable talent led him to be recruited by First Union/Wachovia Bank’s Business Banking division. While there he was integral to the development of the group’s construction loan program.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rollins College and studied International Economics at the American University of Paris.

Mark has 25 years of experience in all areas of residential and commercial real estate, including project management, feasibility analysis, asset management, entitlement process, financing, site development, sales and marketing, and asset disposition.

Mark has produced effective strategies to identify, evaluate, acquire and structure numerous investment properties of all categories; supervised design and coordinated development projects that have successfully attracted public and private financing; fulfilled regulatory agency requirements and met construction deadlines. He has been involved in close to $1 billion in housing, commercial, mixed-use properties, investments, developments and financings. Each opportunity was aimed at creating meaningful communities while focusing on and meeting the financial goals.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communication Arts from Loyola University. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Jewish University and as a Program Chairman within its Real Estate Council.

Megan helps recruit new talent to the CGI team and provides ongoing support for existing staff members. She works on building relationships among the CGI staff and streamlining office protocols and processes. As CGI continues to expand, Megan ensures communications between CGI headquarters and its satellite offices are seamlessly interconnected. She enjoys building connections and morale between team members.

Megan comes to CGI with ten years of experience in HR and recruiting. She is well-versed in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation structures. As a graduate from Louisiana Tech, Megan earned her master’s degree in public administration from Wayland Baptist University. Megan is SHRM-CP certified.

Originally from Louisiana, Megan enjoys exploring California by backpack. She takes several backpacking trips each year, with the Los Angeles National Forest as one of her favorite weekend destinations.

Mike oversees the sourcing, underwriting, and closing activities of acquisitions and development projects aimed at maximizing returns for CGI and its investors. He comes to CGI with over 15 years of experience as a real estate professional. Mike enjoys collaborating with the major players in the industry and bringing the most strategic opportunities to CGI.

During his time at CGI, Mike has been integral to the strategic sourcing and acquisition of many of CGI’s assets, a few of which include our flagship development project, La Brea, and our Mariposa project. Mike is our go-to guy for expert insight into major domestic and international markets, thanks to his years of knowledge and keen sense of up-and-coming neighborhoods.

Mike has brokered, consulted, and/or joint ventured in over five million square feet of space in product types ranging from office, industrial, retail, hospitality and residential (SFR and multifamily) on projects including ground-up development, complete value-add remodels, and strategic opportunistic investments across the US and Europe. These ventures have equated to an approximate asset valuation close to $2 billion USD.

Furthermore, Mike has two dual-degrees that arm him with an impressive educational background. His undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California involved a double-major in Information Systems and Real Estate Finance, while his graduate studies led him to complete a dual-master’s degree in Business Administration and Real Estate Development. During his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and playing water sports. He is very involved in contributing to philanthropic causes and volunteers his time at nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles.

Michael is CGI’s cornerstone for all in-house legal matters. He is sharp, intelligent, laser-focused and knows the real estate industry well. He has been well trained in real estate litigation and real estate risk management and he can sense roadblocks and advise on how to mitigate those before they arise. He helps us save a great deal of time and money with his many years of legal expertise and farsightedness.

Prior to CGI, Michael was legal counsel to a number of LA-based real estate professionals. He has handled sensitive and high profile cases with ease.  Michael’s passion for real estate began as a teenager and parallel to earning his law degree he earned his Real Estate Agent and then Broker License. This invaluable experience gives him the unique ability to see all of our projects from multiple perspectives.

Michael is highly respected in the real estate industry and has logged many hours on discussion panels and as a presenter at real estate industry events. He has written dozens of opinion and statistical articles, which can be found in national industry publications.

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from San Diego State University and his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, where he received top marks in Real Property Finance.

As a partner in CGI, Roni primary role is to cultivate relationships with investors and ensure their needs are met. Roni’s experience in real estate investments exceeds 15 years and has gained him an innate understanding of what investors want and how to deliver it. 

His 25 years of experience as a manufacturing business owner and manager coupled with his natural ability to draw people in and grow relationships makes him undeniably capable to run our team.

Prior to joining CGI, Roni founded Big Baby Inc., an innovative accessory designer and manufacturer. Under Roni’s leadership, the company experienced a massive increase in sales and had many big wins, such as the successful negotiation of a licensed Disney collection. In both the US and internationally, the company surpassed revenue and performance goals year-over-year.

Roni was born in Israel and served in the Israeli army for three years. He now resides in Studio City with his wife Deborah and their three children, with whom he enjoys spending time and traveling. Roni is an avid fútbol aficionado, always follows the World Cup and enjoys watching and playing year-round.

Specializing in locating unique deals, Zion sources single- and multi-family development projects in California, and is skilled in underwriting deals, overseeing property renovation and facilitating due diligence.

Prior to his employment at a CGI, Zion worked as an investment analyst focusing on single- and multi-family properties in Southern California, and successfully achieved unprecedented rates of return on deals closed.

Zion received both an MBA and Bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University and pursued further education at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as well as a Master’s Degree in Law from UCLA School of Law.
