CGI offers a dynamic team of seasoned professionals with over 150 years’ combined experience executing: acquisitions, accounting, financing and leasing, development and construction, asset management and marketing.

Gidi Cohen has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, including the acquisition, disposition, syndication and development of a wide variety of asset classes with an aggregate value in excess of $600 million. In 2013, Mr. Cohen partnered with Mr. Adrian Goldstein to form CGI – Strategies in Real Estate (CGI), a premier real estate and strategy company. CGI creates exciting and unique living environments for the community and generate exceptional investor returns.

Prior to the creation of CGI, in 2006, Mr. Cohen founded Cohen & Associates and grew a small syndication group into a prominent real estate investment and management firm. Under his direction, Cohen & Associates established a track record of putting investors’ funds to work by taking advantage of rare buying opportunities in today’s distressed market.

Previously, Mr. Cohen was President of SOS Enterprises, an upscale construction and development firm. After acquiring the struggling company in 1994, Mr. Cohen guided SOS to become a successful corporation, generating more than $15 million in annual revenues. Mr. Cohen sold SOS after 14 years of successfully building properties in the greater Los Angeles area.

Dedicated to giving back to the community, Mr. Cohen has an active voice in several professional, civic and philanthropic organizations. He sits on the board of several organizations, offering strategic counsel, leadership and guidance.

Born in Israel, Mr. Cohen served for four and a half years in the Israeli Navy Seals. He currently lives in Ojai, CA with his wife and four children.

Adrian Goldstein has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience. He began his career in brokerage in 1982 with Cushman & Wakefield, a leading international commercial brokerage firm. In the late 1980s he helped form a new investment group at C & W specializing in institutional finance and sales.

In the early 1990s Mr. Goldstein was one of the founders of the Greenwich Group International, LLC, an investment advisory/banking firm, specializing in debt and equity financings, investments and institutional real estate transactions. In that capacity, he arranged the refinancing of a portfolio of office buildings and a hotel for Southwest Realty Partners with iStar Capital for $225,000,000.

Mr. Goldstein consulted with Weston Communities on their real estate portfolio and ultimately left Greenwich to run Weston’s portfolio and manage an orderly disposition of $200,000,000-worth of assets, of which he was a partner. One of the assets was an apartment portfolio of 500 rental units that were sold to Archstone Smith, a public REIT for $125,000,000.

In 2009, Mr. Goldstein joined a private real estate company called Gelt, Inc. to implement a business plan to procure an apartment portfolio. As a result of his efforts, it procured a portfolio of approximately 1,500 units in less than 3 years, valued at approximately $130,000,000.

In 2013, Mr. Goldstein teamed with Mr. Gidi Cohen to form CGI – Strategies in Real Estate (CGI), a premier real estate investment and strategy company with the objective of creating exciting and unique living environments, while generating exceptional investor returns. CGI procured 888 Hilgard in Westwood as its first venture, a $25,000,000 property that was repositioned and renovated into a modern, Class A apartment complex offering corporate short-term and long-term housing and luxury rentals.

Mr. Goldstein and his wife Deborah live in Calabasas, CA and Lawrence, NY in proximity to their 5 adult children.

_U8A7433 1.1.2Danny Alpert arrived in the US in 1977 after his military service in the IDF and studied in Tel Aviv University Law School. In 1979, Alpert formed Oro Alexander, a thriving jewelry company. Oro Alexander manufactures diamond jewelry in Thailand and is marketed nationwide within the United States, Canada, and Europe. Alpert has been involved with CECI, Yad Be’yad, StandWithUs, Israel-Christian Nexus, and AIPAC.

In 2013, Danny Alpert partnered with Gidi Cohen and Adrian Goldstein as co-founder of CGI – Strategies in Real Estate (CGI). Danny and his wife Michal have three sons and live in Encino, California.

An active real estate investor for over ten years, Roni understands what investors want and need. He handles all aspects of deal execution for CGI and supervises property stabilization, capital improvement projects, property and corporate budgeting and asset management.

Prior to joining CGI, Roni founded Big Baby Inc., a novelty accessory designer and manufacturer based in Northridge, California. Through Roni’s impeccable leadership and strategic guidance, the company experienced an exponential increase in sales, boasting a licensed Disney collection and the continued surpassing of revenue goals both domestically and internationally.

Born in Israel, Roni served in the Israeli army for three years. He now resides in Studio City with his wife, Deborah, and three children, with whom he enjoys spending time and traveling. A huge fútbol aficionado, Roni enjoys watching and playing the sport both on- and off-season.

Michael joined CGI in 2015 and handles all in-house legal matters as well as company operations. Prior to CGI, Michael was an attorney specializing in real estate litigation as well as risk management for real estate professionals.  Michael also holds his Real Estate Broker’s License and has been involved in the real estate industry since he was a teenager.  He has presented numerous seminars to different members of the real estate industry and has written a number of published articles as well.

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from San Diego State University, and his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, where he received top marks in Real Property Finance.

Specializing in locating unique deals, Zion sources single- and multi-family development projects in California, and is skilled in underwriting deals, overseeing property renovation and facilitating due diligence.

Prior to his employment at a CGI, Zion worked as an investment analyst focusing on single- and multi-family properties in Southern California, and successfully achieved unprecedented rates of return on deals closed.

Zion received both an MBA and Bachelor’s degree from Tel Aviv University and pursued further education at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as well as a Master’s Degree in Law from UCLA School of Law.

As member of the CGI team since 2008, Mark is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and financing the Company’s acquisitions. He began his career in real estate over 10 years ago at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, where he managed a $1 billion nationwide construction loan portfolio of investment properties. His talents led to his recruit by First Union/Wachovia Bank’s Business Banking division, where he was integral in developing the group’s construction loan program.

Previously, Mark was a loan officer with Alliance Bank’s Real Estate Industries division, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing construction and commercial real estate loans. Through his education and work experience, Mark brings to CGI an unmatchable ability to locate and analyze real estate markets and the investment opportunities within them.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rollins College and studied International Economics at the American University of Paris.

Mark has 25 years of experience in all areas of residential and commercial real estate, including project management, feasibility analysis, asset management, entitlement process, financing, site development, sales and marketing, and asset disposition.

Mark has produced effective strategies to identify, evaluate, acquire and structure numerous investment properties of all categories; supervised design and coordinated development projects that have successfully attracted public and private financing; fulfilled regulatory agency requirements and met construction deadlines. He has been involved in close to $1 billion in housing, commercial, mixed-use properties, investments, developments and financings. Each opportunity was aimed at creating meaningful communities while focusing on and meeting the financial goals.

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communication Arts from Loyola University. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Jewish University and as a Program Chairman within its Real Estate Council.

Mark joined CGI after working in commercial lending for Wells Fargo Institutional and Metro Markets Group, bringing several years of real estate finance experience to his current role. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and a concentration in Real Estate Development from the University of Souther California, Mark provides financial analysis and market insights on a variety of asset classes throughout the United States, focusing on ground-up development as well as value-add deals.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mark enjoys surfing and playing squash in his spare time. He is an active member of several philanthropic organizations in the Los Angeles community.

Dawn Michelle Wilson oversees CGI’s brand and marketing efforts. She is a senior executive with more than 20 years experience in management, business development, strategic marketing and communications campaigns, branding, social marketing, public policy, public relations and advertising for corporate/Fortune 500, philanthropic and government entities.

Her work has received honors from PRNews, Public Relations Society of America Los Angeles, The Holmes Report’s SABRE Awards, American Graphic Design Award and HPRMA of Southern California’s Golden Advocate Award.

After graduation, Dawn Michelle started working for Clark Consulting, a publicly traded executive compensation and benefits consulting firm. There she started as a Marketing Specialist handling new business proposals and presentations that aided in landing more than $10M in revenue. She quickly rose to the role of Vice President of Marketing. She later was Managing Director for Hershey Cause, an integrated marketing and communications firm specializing in both for-profit and nonprofit consulting.

Dawn Michelle is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association. She graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minors in Political Science and Business.

Dawn Michelle has spent much of her career and personal life using her expertise to support great causes such as Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Make-A-Wish and has served as a member of the board communication committee’s for the LA River Revitalization Corporation, California Science Center, and Glendale Community College Foundation.

Over the last eleven years, Tom has worked to deliver high quality affordable multifamily housing developments. The unique nature of the affordable housing industry requires a focused and coordinated look at design, estimating and construction, to yield a successful project. Tom’s management and leadership skills has helped to produced some of the most efficient and cost effective designs, while producing a very high quality not usually seen in the affordable industry.

Tom previously came from Southern California Design LLC, where he served as President for over six-years.


A graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, Liron worked at Fore Property Company in Santa Barbara as a development associate performing market research on various property markets. At CGI, she serves as the assistant to the general counsel and supports the fundraising department in all affairs.

A graduate of Holon Institute of Technology and the Istituto Europeo di Design, Maya studied Interior Design. She brings her knowledge to CGI and directs the design our developments.
