CGI Release Estate Investment Strategies Announces Kasia Mays as First Chief Operating Officer

CGI Focuses on Hospitality with New Leadership

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (July 27, 2020) – CGI Real Estate Investment Strategies has furthered its commitment to building a lifestyle brand that puts extraordinary emphasis on hospitality with its latest announcement of Kasia Mays as the first Chief Operating Officer.

Mays brings over 18 years of hospitality experience in the four and five Diamond luxury sectors of the hospitality industry. As CGI continues to focus more on elevating client and investor experience, Mays will build upon the world-class CGI experience.

“We’re thrilled to have Kasia join the CGI Family. She’s just what we need at a time when we are focusing on bringing a touch of high quality [over quantity] to each project. Her experience speaks for itself,” said Gidi Cohen, Founder and President of CGI, about CGI’s new addition.

Mays’ career started at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara, CA. Kasia excelled in the hospitality field, serving brands such as MGM Grand, The Mansion, La Costa Resort and Spa, St. Regis Monarch Beach, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa and The Resort at Pelican Hill. Her passion for ensuring consumer satisfaction and eye for luxury and elevated design make her the ideal visionary to shape CGI’s community and further it a best-in-class residential experience.

In this new role, Mays will lead the organization’s culture, brand, mission, vision, and values as well as lead all marketing and public relations strategies, human resources, IT, and investor relations.

“I am honored to be joining the team at CGI and this dynamic industry during this tender time in the world today.  CGI more than ever is driven by the passion to enrich lives, build thoughtful communities and strategically grow portfolios through conscientious multifamily real estate development, acquisition, and management. Our core values will always support the need to fuse development and lifestyle to achieve the highest and best outcomes for people and places and that at every touch point in our business principles are seen and felt. We will always grow with intention, build projects with heart and curate success that has a soul,” said Mays.

Best Bosses | Here are Real Estate Forum’s picks for Best Bosses in 2023.

The last year has not been easy for the head of a commercial real estate company. Inflation and the Fed’s response, as well as trends that emerged from the pandemic, have clearly had an impact on the industry across all of the sectors. Besides the effect of, say, ongoing remote work on the beleaguered office asset class or the slowing pace of rent increases in multifamily, these executives have also had to navigate an increasingly difficult capital markets environment. I have some bad news for this group: the near-term future doesn’t look any easier. Enter our selection of Best Bosses this year.
